Our mission is to assist older adults to improve their quality of life, offer individual choice, reduce caregiver stress, provide peace of mind for family members, and cut healthcare costs by effectively changing outcomes.

Eyes Technology is a software company with core technologies in a patented information processing pipeline that starts from visually based real-time on site content which is then analyzed, distilled, and distributed to each subscriber through a mobile dashboard application. The on site hardware required to run our software - sensor units and integrating intelligent base stations - will be secured through strategic partnerships with hardware companies that specialize in their manufacture, distribution and retail.

Story

The Problem

More than 43.5 million seniors in the US are aging in place while there is a caregiver shortage expected to reach 7 million by 2027. COVID-19 is further complicating caregiver support and increasing cost. Present Ambient Assisted Living (AAL) systems remain at limited utility due to a combination of multiple challenges: the need for human intervention/cooperation, interoperability/proprietary issues, a fragmented market, and rising concerns over privacy and security.

Our Solution

An integrated care system based on Intelligent Activity Monitoring (IAM) and centralized communication that gathers, analyzes and distributes relevant-only information to common portable devices, thereby providing:

The adaptive nature of this system engaged in 24/7 visual monitoring enables improving accuracy and relevance of both detection and prediction over time. All this data is analyzed, uploaded to our servers, and distributed to the Eyes Technology dashboard application on users' mobile devices or PCs; SMS-based push notifications are reserved for suspected falls and emergencies. Following a successfully completed 2019 proof of concept, the Alpha engineering stage validated end-to-end system performance, functionality, basic analytics and dashboard display in late 2020. Engineering samples began Beta testing deployment in late Q1 2021. In addition to business development, ongoing R&D efforts in both the US and Japan are focused on a broad range of functionality improvements along the information processing pipeline.

Meet the Team

Eyes Technology was formed in 2018 by a group of Silicon Valley veterans with engineering, executive, and sales & marketing experience in vision-based data acquisition, data analysis and content distribution. We all also shared a growing need to support our aging parents and loved ones who live away. Our primary goal is to increase both their subjective confidence and objective safety, by means of unobtrusive monitoring, with timely detection of falls and other acute events as well as longer-term changes in biomechanical markers or activities of daily living patterns that might indicate a preventable health risk. With falls recognized as the leading cause of injury and death among older adults - along with the growing shortage of trained caregivers (projected at 7 million in the US alone by 2027) - the need for Eyes Technology's solution becomes obvious.
